What a check is.
402Signal finds and verifies an x402 route before your agent spends. The agent remains responsible for the spend on the chosen route.
Billing
A successful hosted check is billed at the published price. Typed misses are not billed.
Limits
A check is not settlement, custody, or a guarantee that the seller will deliver. A catalog listing is not an endorsement. The public log and tests are not an independent audit.
You must not use the service to probe private networks, abuse third-party endpoints, or submit payment material you do not control.
Availability
The service may be unavailable. Anchoring and rail status can lag. Keep the original authorization and budget when a call is uncertain; do not create a second authorization just to retry.
